I am trying to install Solaris 9 from the install CD onto a Ultra 10. Here is the background info:

Used machine but new to me. I put two new IDE drives in and neither one of them has been formated for Solaris.

Primary master: CDROM
Primary slave: none
Secondary master: 8.4 GB
Secondary slave: 20 GB

When I power up the Ultra I am at the ok> prompt. I did a probe-ide and all the devices are recognized but when I try to boot cdrom I get the following:

Boot device: /pci@1f/pci@1,1/ide@3/cdrom@2,0:f
Can't read disk label
Can't open disk label package
Can't open boot device

Can anyone help?
Thanks,
Kris

Kris,
Check to make sure you have your disk drives and cdrom plugged into the right place on the mother board. Sounds like they make not be in the right location.
