My credentials - somewhat new to Solaris. Operating system - Solais 8.
Question : Just recieved Solaris 9 beta from Sun. Downloaded in the form of 6 .zip files. Unwrapped the 6 and now have a file named sol-9-beta-ia.cpio. What now? How do I burn this to a CD? Size of archive is 800+ MB. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Did you download this on Windows? If so, make sure you are showing the file extensions. You might not be seeing the extension. If, on other than windows, or have the file extensions turned on, the files from Sun are nothing more than ISO files from the CD, so you can use them as just standard ISO files. What OS are you using? You can just add the ISO extension and burn with EZCD Creator, or Nero if on windows. It should work fine.
