Hi, I am trying to install Solaris 8 on Dell Latitude C810 Laptop. When it comes to Language selection it doesnot accept any keyboard entry, however on pressing enter it goes on printing character "a" until buffer is full. At this point only way out is reboot. I saw many posting on this subject on web. Some suggested to use USB keyboard. Some talked about 'patch' from Sun, however I could not get patch ID or its URL. Can anybody through some light on this? Is patch available for Sun? If yes, where can I get that?

Hi Rajesh,
it's Patch-ID 112352-01. I thinks it will be released in the next PatchCluster.
Best regards,
Tobias

I think it will work using jumpstart mode instead of interactive. However, the former requires creating a bounch of files which is not that easy. Sigh. I can not find a USB keyboard around, and the patch is not released yet. What can I do?
