I am using an:
Processor-(AMD Athlon XP1700+ at 1.46GHz.)
mainboard bios-(ECS K7S5A amibios SiS735 chipset)Memory-(128MB DDR-SDRAM) Video-(S3 ViRGE PCI (325) Storage (Maxtor 60 gig hd)

my problem is installing from the solaris 8 intel CD 1 of 2 which i'm able to boot from CD #1 of 2 after changing the bios. it allows me to resolve all resouce conflicts after scanning in Char mode before switch to GUI mode then allowing me to select 1 for interactive load. an attempt is made to load the unix/kernel and after 10 - 20 seconds it reboots.
win98 is using 8 gig in the first partition at the 63rd sector. i have attempted moving the entire partition to the end of the disk and partitioning 15 gig unformated primary in its place . nothing seems to work .... are there any ideas on what this problem is ? i would be greatly appreciative for your help ...
