OK, i've walked in on an interesting problem. I have a Sunserver running Solaris 8 - (no thats not the problem :) ) When I attempt to either FTP a file up to it, I manage to get the first 8 to 20 blocks up and then it just stops, regardless of the file size. I've islolated this server down to the point of having my windows XP workstation connect directly to the server using a cross over cable, so there is no physical network issue. Secondly, to add to the mix, if I install Samba on the Sunbox, and share a directory, then attempt to put a file from the Xp workstation onto the Sunbox, the file starts to copy but the whole thing stops after a short time with an error message saying "Too many levels deep"
Im at a bit of a loss here.... but I have to believe the two problems are interelated some how. HELP?!?!?
