Solaris 8 for Intel P4/SiS645

Comment:
Has anyone ever tried to install Solaris 8 for Intel on a P4 with an MSI motherboard (MS-6524) and the SiS645/650 chipset?
The install fails during the loading of the OS just prior to install type selection. All devices are detected fine.

After probing the hardware and showing what was found, hitting F2 loads the com.bef and ata.bef drivers. The next screen should give a boot device selection, but it fails at that point.
