Solaris 8 doesn't boot...

Hi I installed new SUN PCI GigaBit ethernet GigabitEthernet2.0 (X1141A) card in my SUN ENTERPRISE 420R and after that it system does't boot completely.I can ping the box,telnet the box but can't the prompt after telnet session.Is it a bug with GIgabit or what can be the issue?Please help

There should not be any bug in the Ethernet Controller. please go to the sun site and check for the Solaris 8 Hardware Compatibility List the problem could be the Ethernet controller may not be compatible with Solaris 8.
I will try to find out that but if u get the soluation please inform me .
