Solaris 8 CD images downloaded from Sun ver 2/02
UltraSparc 1
64M RAMInstall makes it into X Windows ok... I get the Solaris Install Console. I go through the network config screens and get the "Just a moment..." message. After about 1 minute I get a message in the console:
Assertion failed: have_ext_net_info(nc) == TRUE, file main.c, line 931
Abort - core dumped
Starting remote procedure call (RPC) services: sysidns done.At this point setup hangs and no longer attempts to access the CD or HD.
The mouse is still active and I can open a terminal window.
Any ideas? I chose DHCP configuration...
I did have a 2nd NIC in the box, I removed that already. I'll keep trying variations, but since the darn CDROM is so slow it takes about 20 minutes to get that far into the setup...Thanks!

I am getting the same message..
but i need to configure DHCP..
any leads would appreciate..
Thanx,
Samir.

I had the same issue, Sol8 0202, 2xeri on
AX1105. I just said "Networked: NO" and
it worked fine. Then I set up the networking
manually after the install.
