Solaris 8 can't ping router

I can ping and see our router from win98/2k and Solaris 6. After installing Solaris 8 I cannot see the router or PDC. All same network 209.213.200.x 255.255.255.224. I can ping some things like Win2k boxes and can ping solaris from those. Can anyone help me????

Might try on unix forum. We know mostly the Be Operating System. BeOS for short.

Wow, i can't believe there is actually a forum for the 3 people who still use BeOS.
Anyways, with the question - are you trying to ping by ip address or hostname? have a look in /etc/nsswitch.conf to see what your entry for 'hosts' is. You may need to check if your /etc/resolv.conf exists if you have 'hosts files dns' in /etc/nsswitch.conf and you are trying to ping by hostname. maybe the hosts you can ping are in /etc/hosts and the ones you can't aren't. If this is not the case, try running snoop from another terminal between the 2 hosts and see what goes on there.
