I need some help here.. I would like to login in with only console and not start up the gui at all.. How can I disable it from running?

You need to rename a script definition in /etc/rc2.d. mv the S99dtlogin to something else (I call mine disabled_S99dtlogin.) This is the last thing done when runlevel 2 is processed, and this will keep solaris from running the gui.
