How do I create a solaris 7 boot disk to load the OS from the install CD that is not bootable?
I downloaded the Solaris 8 Floppy software from the location specified by Avinash Mehta but this file is 1.47MB. the floppy would not accomodate more than 1.44MB. How do I make a bootable floppy out of this

Thanks Avinash Mehta, nothing like searching around sun for this with no hits to make you feel stupid... Anyhow, I was able to create the floppy with the dd.exe tool for dos machines. The solaris instructions as well as the tool can be found here: http://soldc.sun.com/support/drivers/copytodisk.html Syntax: dd filename A:
Hope this helps.
