it's possible to install solaris 10 in a portable core duo, with vista already installed on it?
thanks a lot for answers
hi all

Yes, you can. I suggest that unless you have attempted this before you should not do it. If you have the recovery DVD for the laptop and you are sure it is ok to use as a test bed then you might attempt it.
Read a few of the how to's that are written for Vista, linux, grub. Use any popular search engine. Then read a few on Vista, grub, solaris dual boot. It is clearly written already online.
If you are not sure you wish to risk loosing your Vista install then stop. Consider using a virtual machine instead.
Find one of the pages that you wish to follow and post it. Let us look at it to see if it is correct.
I read it wrong and answer it wrong too. So get off my case you peanut.

thanks for your answer. i think the portble is delivered with the recovery CD rom, and also there's a software from SUN to check for compatibility with hardware, and it's possible to do it. so, i'll try but i'm not sure it's gonna work both of systems together. anyway, thanks a lot and till the next
