Hi all,

Does anyone have any experience with getting webstart for Solaris 2.6 going properly on a headless Enterprise system (more specifically an E220R) ?

I start with the Installation disk as required, give the information needed, but despite the fact there's no frame buffer, it's not giving me the option to configure from a browser on another machine. The terminal just shows a lot of java stuff being launched then dumps me at a root style prompt...

While it's possible to install 2.6 without the install cd (I tried this) - the installation won't work properly as it seems the install CD contains much needed drivers and other patches. (Problems include hme0 not coming up, despite config being ok, taking it down, unplumbing and replumbing etc etc).

I'd be really grateful for any help on this. Installing Solaris 7 or 8 is not an option I'm afraid - it has to be 2.6 :(

More info - it seems that the Webstart crashes with a

"InvocationTargetException thrown in method initProfile in class com.sun.solarisinstall.panel"

and a load of other stuff...

Does anyone have any ideas?
