Hi
I currently have Sol 5.6 installed,
but I set the wrong IP at startup.
Now I have to change it, along with the
netmask (which was wrong also) after each
reboot.
I don't have a clue where I can enter it
permanently. Is there a file I can edit ?
Or maybe a tool I do not know of.
Thanks for any help :)

hi,

No need to do sys-unconfig
just edit two files
#vi /etc/hostname.hme0
change the ip address as required in this file
#vi /etc/netmasks
change the netmask as required in this file

this will surely solve u r problem
