Sendmail will not send to external domai

Does anyone know why i can't send any mail external to my domain. I can send a message to an email address within my domain, but when I try to send to my yahoo account it doesn't work. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

there are a number of things that could be causing your problem. the first thing to do is try to determine specifically what part of the process is failing, check the /var/log/syslog file for applicable messages.
/var/log/syslog is the default location for sendmail logging on solaris, but you can always check /etc/syslog.conf for a list of what processes log where.

This is weird....I commented out the DSalpha.$m setting below and now I am able to mail to all external addresses.
Will this setting open up my server to SPAM relay?
