We are running sendmail version 8.10.2 on our primary sendmail server and 8.9.3 on our secondary sendmail server on Solaris 8 Intel based. Lately we were having problems with sendmail sending lot of junk e-mails to the external mail addresses. We dont relay, but these viruses which comes into our account with the inbound e-mail uses the outbound(since both are same server) to send out e-mails from the user mail address books.
This happens before we apply any virus definitions. My Lotus notes administrator is requesting to have 2 different servers for inbound and outbound. With that the virus that gets in thru our inbound doesn't get send if it is a different outbound server.
