try to install a secondary IDE disk on Ultra 10. I realize the jumper setting on the primany one is "cable". what does that mean? cable means "cable select" ie the position on the cable sorts out which master and which is slave. Do remember that the CD will need to be set too. A simple approach is to disconnect power from both disks and the CD. Then do a test with just ONE device turned on ok setenv auto-boot? false ok reset ok probe-ide The probe confirms which disks and CDs are visible. For each test power off /on the sparc and then issue probe command.
