I tried running kdmconfig, then failing that, i did a search for it, which found nothing but the manpage for it. odd, why would i have a manpage and no binary? nothing about solaris makes any sense.

im trying to change resolutions in the first place because somehow it mysteriously changed on its own the second time i rebooted to something my flatpanel cant quite support.. so its all blurry. bleh. any other ideas?

It's somewhere in /usr/dt/* I think. I am looking for it right now myself, but am having a little difficulty finding it. Once you find it, you should put it in /etc/dt/* to preserve it past upgrades, etc.

Not sure about all this, though.

/usr/sbin/m64config is the start

to find out what card or adapter you have do this:
a. /usr/sbin/m64config -propt
to create and adapter (that is what it says)
b. /usr/sbin/ffbconfig - propt

Display the capabilities of the card (this is what I used)
a. /usr/sbin/m64config -res /? (this displays what it can support)
For card and the display:
b. /usr/sbin/m64config -prconf
c. /usr/sbin/m64config -ffbconfig -res \? (what the card is capable of )

Change the color depth:
a. /usr/sbin/m64config -depth 24
Change to 3D adapter:
b. /usr/ffbconfig -depth 24

Here is how you actually change the resolution:

" /usr/sbin/m64config -res "resolution you want or what can be supported" try
follow the script questions as they come up. It is just like setting it on windows.
Reboot after it is all done and it should come up to the new settings on your

Try this it worked for me.
