Hello All,

My rpcinfo command takes a long time (about 1 min) to return and that is unacceptable to my application. I wonder if there is a way to make it return sooner. I did not find anything useful from the man page. If that is not feasible can anyone please tell me what the exact timeout value for rpcinfo is? Or what may cause the slow response?

I forgot to mention that the rpcinfo command timed out when it is trying to reach a host that is actually not reachable. rpcinfo responds fast when the host is online though. I hope rpcinfo returns faster even when the host is not online.
