try to shutdown my server remotely but i got this message" showmount:hostname:RPC:program not registered." what this messages mean, and my server did not shutdown, but it did when i did from consol

same time i have other problem with mounting file from same server. share one file on same server and try to mount that file to other server. but it did not, show me this message " nfs mount:hostname:RPC:program not registered." i try to mount with this way "mount -F nfs servername:/filename /filename" thanks for help.
