Has anyone experienced the following problem before? :

User puts system into standby with the power key.

Powers machine back up, system resotres state and all comes back up ok, however, immediately after, the system reverts back to standby (saving system state screen)...

This happens every time you try to turn the machine back on... weird...

I did do a boot -s and init 3 to bring the system back to normal, however this has obviously caused a few problems and the system is not too happy on boot up - however, the machine works ok so I'm not that bothered now.

Has anyone seen this before? if so was there a better way to get around it?

Thanks
