Hi
I have an external usb CDRW (IOMEGA-predator). I attached to an USB-to-scsi adapter. When I install Solaris 9. The OS installs the scsa2usb, scsi_vhci and USB drivers (and others). But after the installation. The computer doesn't recognize the CDRW. When I use probe-scsi-all, only I can see the internal CDROM and the Hard Drive. If I Use cdrw -l with a CD inside, it says that there is not a CD writer founded. The installation recognizes that there is an usb to scsi adapter attached because when I disconnect the CDRW and usb-to-scsi adapter and install again the operative system, those drivers (scsa2usb, scsi_vhci and usb) were not installed.

Hmm, it seems to me like you need some kind of device-driver to recognize the CD-RW. The problem with USB-devices are that they still need device drivers to work. You donīt happen to have an external SCSI-interface on the machine?? So that you can test if Solaris recognizes the CD-RW when not connected via the usb-scsi connector.
