I am trying to upgrade a Enterprise 450 machine from Solaris 6 to 8. I do the instalation according to the manual (boot CDROM) but the windows that shows ths option to upgrade does no appear. I did this procedures in other machine and it works. The only difference is, the Enterprise 450 machine is using disk mirror with DiskSuit.

Solaris will not recognize /dev/md entries in your /etc/vfstab. First, disable DiskSuite. Then use format to determine the c#t#d#s# for each root mount point and then comment out the /dev/md entries in /etc/vfstab and replace with the /dev/dsk/c#t#d#s# entries.
