Problem Installing Solaris 9 on x86

I have no problem install xp under my vpc. But when I tried to install solaris8. I got nothing, and now I just downloaded the copy of solaris9 and I thought I was okay. I got thru about first process.. Booting it up and doing the webstart installation and copy files to miniboot disk. right after when it reboots, I got a white screen and then nothing happens. What's wrong ?
