HI...
I have a problem in installing netbeans on my machine. when i type sh netbeans-.....sh
the terminal prints:

The launcher "netbeans-ent_pack-5_5-solaris-sparc.sh"
is not executable for the current user. Please give execute permission for the current user before attempting to launch the installer.

I am the root user, what can i do?

ls -l shows the permissions.

chmod changes the permissions. chmod +x to add executeable.

pkgadd is a normal way to install but I'd view the script with the command more "netbeans-ent_pack-5_5-solaris-sparc.sh or view in gui word processor or editor.

I read it wrong and answer it wrong too. So get off my case you goober.
