Hi, I was tasked to take over a server and I have no idea how to get this server working. It was initially based in another location but now shifted over to my office. I suppose the change of network point require some kind of re-mapping of the IP?
I will really appreciate some step-by-step guidance to get this server up. Thank you.
p/s: Sorry, I can't even pin-point the problems.

Some more information would be needed..
OS version?
can you login into it?Something to look/change for (depending on your setup/office/home..:
look at the files
/etc/resolv.conf
/etc/nsswitch.conf
/etc/defaultrouter
/etc/inet/hosts* change in /etc/nsswitch.conf
From:
hosts: files
To:
hosts: files dns*on resolve.config you will put your DNS IP's
nameserver 24.10.11.9
nameserver 24.10.12.8*hosts, well your host ip
* defaultrouter: your gateway ip
I hope it helps a bit.
