Hi,
1) I want to find out what are all the devices is there in my solaris 8 machine.Is there any command to find it out.If i installed a tape drive how to find it out which device number it took or this was installed properly or not?.

Sft: devices: i.e. "iostat -E" this will show disk,tape, cdrom devices with the instance names (prtconv |grep -v not) You can compare it with the /etc/path_to_inst file. Question 2 : don't know...
