I have come to notice a problem with both the PCi II and PCi III cards in both Ultra 10 and sunblade 150’s. I can’t tell whether it has something to do with other applications that might be running or not, but when the solaris OS is under heavy load, sometimes the PCi desktop disappears from the CDE environment. The pci daemon is still running on the system. Does anyone know how to get it to reconnect to the desktop without killing the process and restarting it? This is bad for the system image and has caused me more than one image reload.
