Comment: Hi All:: I downloaded the oracle 8i (8.1.7) and created a CD of it. While I try to install from this CD, the runInstaller file is unable to run from CD-rom in solaris 8. Do anybody really know how to install oracle 8i in IA solaris8. I did saw a posting here by Mike, who mention that he have complete document installation of this. I did wrote to him but till I am still for his answer. Mike if you read this please send installation direction of your's @ karwab@yahoo.com. I will higly appreaciate it. thnx -vandy

No there is no need to burn a CD in any particular format becaue I think if you have downoaded the CD image so pleae use www.nero.com software to create the installable CD. But pleae make sure that you have installed "Entire Distribution +oem SUPPORT" CLUSTER in solaris8. Can you pleaes tell me from where you have downloaded the this software.
