Hi All::
I downloaded the oracle 8i (8.1.7) and created a CD of it. While I try to install from this CD, the runInstaller file is unable to run from CD-rom in solaris 8. Do anybody really know how to install oracle 8i in IA solaris8. I did saw a posting here by Mike, who mention that he have complete document installation of this. I did wrote to him but till I am still for his answer. Mike if you read this please send installation direction of your's @ karwab@yahoo.com. I will higly appreaciate it.

thnx

Hi Suk,
Oracle 8i is available on intel solaris, I did downloaded the software from one site. What basically I am asking is that when burning CD for this under W2K env, do we need to burn CD in any particular format.

Hi vandy

Thanks for the feedback.

No there is no need to burn a CD in any particular format becaue I think if you have downoaded the CD image so pleae use www.nero.com software to create the installable CD.

But pleae make sure that you have installed "Entire Distribution +oem SUPPORT" CLUSTER in solaris8.

Can you pleaes tell me from where you have downloaded the this software.

Thanks
sukrut
