CPU/Ram: Sparc
Model/Manufacturer: Sun Ultrasparc III
Comment:
I'm trying to log in to my dslam sun server, to edit some users. (using Cygwin from a winxp station)
However, I logged in and got an error message when I tried to start the AWSADMIN network elements.
That actually happens from time to time, so I didn't think much of it, opened a shell, su'ed, and issued a reboot command.
Then, as the server came up again, I logged in again, but instead of loading the CDE, it loads openwindows environment. It asks me for user / pass as normal, but the CDE won't load, just the openwindows.
I get the following message when logging in:
"Could not start docviewer
Could not initialize canvas
Could not create DPS context
Is adobe postscript running?"

- I've got no idea where to begin. I have som 'nix knowloedge, but far from exp'd.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

\\markraves
