What version of Netware are you trying to get the client to connect to because I have been trying to find out if it was possible to connect a Solaris 8 workstation onto a NetWare 4.11 environment so I am very interested in where you obtained the client and what version of Netware you are connecting to. I have to achieve Solaris and Netware integration for my company within the next month so maybe we could compare notes?
