After installng solaris 8, I do not have a resolv.conf file. Can I just add one, or do I need to run sys-unconfig? Thanks

note:
/etc/nsswitch.conf must have "dns" following 'files' in the 'host' line.

Just add the following entries in /etc/resolv.conf

nameserver x.x.x.x (Ip address of your DNS)
search
