NIS+ permissions are too tight, please inform your administrator. Anyone have any idea of what to check here? Can log on as root locally but no other account can log in. Users can log in on other clients but not this particular workstation.

Has the user authentication changed on this system? This error is related to PAM (Plugable Authentication Module). NIS+ permissions require that the pam_dhkeys module is on the PAM stack before pam_unix_auth.

Thanks, how can I check that? Is that in /etc/pam.conf? The SA resigned and the client is having issues. They asked me to assist but I've only worked with NIS and not NIS+. Root can log in locally so I'm not sure if the client needs to be reauthenticated or what. It appears to be a client issue on the workstation and not a user account issue. One of the other machines is acting funny as well. When anyone logs in, the screen goes black and then comes right back to the login screen.
