NIC led test

Hi,

Is there a command to for example send a signal to a network interface and make an led flash i.e. i have a number of interfaces which I cant identify and i do not want to take the box to bits to check the mac?

u just check the NIC card with command.
#ping 127.0.0.1
or
#ping hostname
