Comment: Hi I need to get a NIC card working under Solaris so I can use my cable modem with it. I have 2 NIC's to choose from but I don't know if either will work. They are RealTec RTL8139 & SMC EZ (SMC1211 Series). They are both 10/100. I don't think the cards are installed properly and I'm not sure how to do it. Any help at all on the problem would be great thanks Spec

Reply: (edit)I had the same problem. I even changed my 3C905C-tx to 3C980-TX, which is spec for server, still doesn't work. could you pls help?

I have got a Sun Sparc Ultra 5 machine But it is not on the network.
Now I want to configure it on the network.
It is on Solaris 8.
How can I establish network on the Sparc machine . Please help me out.
