Comment:

I have 2 Ultra 10 and trying to setup a NFS between them. On machine DEV1 i have shared a directory called "proejects/docs/A1". On machine DEV2 i am trying to mount that directory. Here's the error that was returned:

# mount -F nfs dev2:/projects/docs/A1 /projects/docs/A1
nfs mount: dev2: : RPC: Program not registered
nfs mount: retrying: /projects/docs/A1

Please help...

Is the nfs service running on dev2 ?

On dev2 execute

exportfs -av

Have a look at the /etc/dfs directory to make sure dfstab and sharetab look like they should.

Restart the nfs server

/etc/init.d/nfs.server stop
/etc/init.d/nfs.server start
