Hi,
I have installed Solaris8(Intel)without NIC. But just purchased SMC9432TX PCI NIC which is mentioned in Solaris 8(4/01) HCL.
Can anyone tell me the steps in installing and configuring the NIC?
Thanks in Advane.

the hardware compatibility for x86 DOES list it so your already on the right track.

Next you should read section 6.7 on the x86 FAQ.

http://www.sun.drydog.com/faq/6.html

It should get you well on your way.
