Hello all,
I've got netscape v4.76 on a solaris 8 ultra 10 machine going through linksys router which connects me to the web via dsl modem (pacbell, pppoe).

Whenever I go to most websites my browser hangs at 92% of 12k, as soon as I hit stop then it continues to load only part of the website. This happens a lot with sites with lots of links. I also cannot get to any secure sites, browser hangs at "transferring info". My other machines on my home lan load perfectly fine with no probs. This is exremely annoying since I prefer using my solaris box over my windows machines.

I've checked my resolv.conf file and I have dns afters hosts.
Defaultrouter has 192.168.1.1

Here's my resolv.conf file:
# more resolv.conf
nameserver 206.13.28.12
nameserver 206.13.31.12

I've deleted ~/.netscape/cache
Deleted ~/.netscape
sys-unconfig
Reinstalled netscape
I can ping ANY site, secure or unsecure.

This is getting extremely annoying. You guys have any tips that might stirr me in the right direction?

Thanks in advance.

Try changing your MTU size from the default
of 1500 to 1492.

#ifconfig hme0 mtu 1492
#ifconfig hme0 inet6 1492

If it solves the problem, then set up a
script in /etc/rc2.d to make the setting
permanent.
