Subject: mounting a disk array
OS: Solaris 8
CPU/Ram: Dual
Comment:

I have 2 Solaris 8 servers which both are connected to a Sun StorEdge A1000 Disk array via SCSI. On one of my servers, by running 'format' I see that it recognizes the Disk array. Now, on this server, I wish to mount the disk array to the /mnt directory of my server.

When I run 'mount c2t5d0 /mnt", the shell returns with:

nfs mount: nfs file system; use [host:]path

What does this mean? So how can I go about mounting the disk array disk onto the server?

Have a look at

man mount

for usage

mount /dev/dsk/c2t5d0 /mnt
