Hi,
I have the same problem with a 500GB USB storage device. After searching the web, I found out that FAT32 (my HD uses this as File system format) is not supported under solaris 8.
For the moment I am considering 2 possibilities:
A) format my drive in a Unix filesystem
B) apply a recommended patch by SUN for solaris 8.How have you solved the problem?
Many thanks,
Jurgen De Clercq

Made some errors while copy/pasting the above posted message...
I have problems to mount a FAT32 file system on a solaris 8 SPARC OS.
I can see the raw device under "iostat -En". So far OK.
But when I try to mount, it gives an I/O error.
"mount -F pcfs /dev/dsk/c1t0d0s2:c /rmdisk/USBDRIVE"Mount directory and su-rights are OK. I already played with vold, but without succes. I also adjusted vfstab; no succes...
I would be extremely greatful if somebody could help me ou, as I am breaking my head over this prob since 2 weeks.
Greetings,
Jurgen
