When modifying partition with the "modify" option of the "partition" section of the "format" utility, I am obliged (at some point) to accept one partition of the disk as the "free hog partition". The problem is that I need all my partitions, and "free hog" being a disk space accumulator that expands and contracts as other partition sizes are changed....it is not funny to give away a partition for that! Worst is that Free Hog defaults to my /usr partition! I know I could partition my HD without going through the "free hog" challenge. But I want here, is to understand "free hog". Does "free hog" make me loose a partition in fact? How does it work?
