I just got a sparc 20 to play with. It had a real small hd so I put in a 9 gig hd. I want to install solaris 8 on this machine and am getting a magic number error when it first boots up. probe-scsi sees it fine but when i go through the install, it doesnt see the disk. test Disk doesnt do anything, not sure if it supposed to. when it drops me to the command line, df shows nothing as well. I am new to solaris, sparc hardware etc.. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Hi!!

check your OBP version, my guess is that
it's to old for that disk size.
