ls -al -- unable to see file name

Hi,

when i issue ls -al command, everything
is listed except the month,date,year and file name but when i issue ls command ,the filenames are displayed.
Also there is some junk character in place of
month.

HTT property manager opens automatically,i
dont know why.

will anybody help? i will be highly thankful to you.
