Could some one please tell me that in Solaris what is comparable to System, Security and Application logs of Windows. Are these there by default or must be setup ? If so, how ?? OR Are there any better products out there for the same purpose ??

The level and location of logging is determined by the settings in /etc/syslog.conf. You can make them as verbose as you like. You might also direct all the log messages for a local network to a central log host.
