I'm very new to UNIX and would like to load sol.8 on my computer. I've download the OS from sun.com, unzipped it and burned it to CD. The CD is not bootable. What am I doing wrong. I've loaded FreeBSD and RedHat in the past. Those were easy.

How did you burn the CD? I downloaded and burned last week, worked great. Did you just burn the unzipped file or did you follow the instructions and add an extension (.iso, etc) so that your software sees the file as an image rather than just data?
