Hi, I'm configuring for the first time a solaris. I managed to create the file hostname.hme0 but I dont know how to setup the mask since ifconfig reports me a wrong one. And when I change any tcpip data how can i refresh the settings without rebooting? maybe kill -1 inetd ? Thanks
You can use: ifconfig hme0 netmask xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx to set the netmask for an interface. You don't need to reboot/restart anything after doing this, as far as I know. Hope that helps!
