i got jumpstart running fine
but the root password never works..i copyed it from from the shadow file like i was told to but never works once the system comes up.any suggestions?

Ness -I had a similar problem... It was attributed to bad typing and not following syntax closely. I offer working context from my own sysidcfg file. Maybe you can find something useful from it.

I think that jumpstart has problems using encrypted passwords that contain special characters. If your encrypted password contains a dot ".", then jumpstart will fail to correctly set it. From the machine that you are copying the password from, just keep redoing root's password until you get an encrypted version in the /etc/system file that has no special characters and use it.
