Comment:
hello all.new to the site, new to solaris!

i have a functioning solaris 8 workstation in my work, but it seems that the profile diskette which came along with the software package is out of order (seems unformatted in the solaris console)

Since going on a step by step installation (in case of hard drive crash) looks rather complicated, for my level of solaris knowledge, i would like to make the profile diskette allover.

The procedure in sun's docs isn't that clear, so i would like to check my options:

Is there a special procedure of making the diskette (for a standalone system) taken as granted that the system is already running and I have full access?
Thank you all in advnace
