I have an sunfire v100, i have an configured ethernet it can see others ips in the lan, but if i try to get make an nslookup yahoo.com says " cant find server name for address 127.0.0.1" and i dont know what else to do, i have modified hosts file:
"127.0.0.1 localhost loghost solaris
192.168.123.252 solaris loghost"
netmasks file:
"192.168.123.252 255.255.255.0"
resolv.conf file:
"solaris 192.168.123.252"
and defaultrouter file:"192.168.123.254" thats my gateway
i dont know what to do?, anybody help me pls

resolv.conf file should look like this:
nameserver 192.168.123.252

"nameserver" is not a name, it is identifying the following IP address as a nameserver, replace the word "solaris" in your file with the word nameserver. Also, note that this will only work if your machine is also a functioning DNS server. If it is not, you should change the ip address to reflect a known working DNS server on your LAN or on the internet.

Also read the section about modifying the /etc/nsswitch.conf file.

Thanks for help Kdub, now i have another question, this sparc is new, and now i accessing to it using hyperterminal, how can i see the graphical mode, how can i do that?
