Comment: Hi all, I'm trying to install X Windows and have had a lot of problems. After much work, I finally got it to build, but now the install is failing. Here is where it blows up from my install.log: ld: fatal: relocations remain against allocatable but non-writable sections *** Error code 1 make: Fatal error: Command failed for target `libX11.so.6.1' I've rooted around and haven't managed to locate that library, though I don't see why it shouldn't have been built since I accepted default values on the build. Any ideas would be much appreciated. Cheers, Jeff
